I can’t access the menu or it won’t stop recording
If the motion detection function is enabled it can cause this as it will start recording again as soon as it detects motion once you have stopped recording. If you don’t want to use the motion recording function (most people don’t) the easy solution is to power off the camera, remove the card, power the camera back on and go into the settings menu and turn motion detection off then reinsert the card and continue.
If you do want to use the motion detection function then make sure you cover the lens when you want to go in to the menu.
It freezes during recording.
This is nearly always due to a problem with the card you are using, please try another card first, class 6 or above cards are recommended.
